Plotter

A device that draws lines on a piece of paper based on
commands received from a computer. It differs from a printer in that it uses a
pencil to draw the lines so it can draw a continuous line where as a printer
uses a series of dots. Multi-color plotters have different color pencils.
Plotters are used when precision is necessary, such as in engineering
applications.
