Unsharp Masking
|
A color separation and manipulation technique that is
used to increase the overall contrast at the edges of density or color changes.
This can be done either electronically or photographically. The location where
the color changes occur is found and the tones and colors are adjusted to
create a more definite change. Whether done electronically or photographically,
unsharp masking increases the overall detail of an image.
