Images can be downloaded to another digital device
or a computer to allow for the removal of stored images in the camera's memory
or memory cards.
- The speed at which images are downloaded can range from 20 Kbps to 115 Kbps.
- If the camera includes a Twain driver (software application which communicates
with the CCD scanning functions to make adjustments to resolution, brightness,
contrast, and color settings), the images can be downloaded easily from your
image editing program. Being able to download from your editing program will
eliminate the procedure of loading a separate program to view and work with
your images to enhance contrast, color, and brightness.
- While there are a number of alternative options for transferring files,
such as Firewire connections or FlashPath adaptors for SmartMedia™,
the standard connection methods available to transfer the image from the camera
storage devices to a computer or digital repository continue to be the most
