Window Die Cuts

Self Mailers

Self mailers can have a window die cut out of a panel to expose the delivery address that has been printed on another panel. An example of a self mailer with a window die cut is shown in the illustration above. Using a window die cut will sometimes eliminate the need to imprint both sides of the mailer. Be cautious in using a die cut window on your mailer because not all folder/sealers can run them. Some window die cuts can have a patch added to the window but you may be limited to what type of patch can be used. Adding a window die cut is a feature that should be discussed with the individuals that will be responsible for folding and sealing your mailer. Find out what the capabilities of the folder/sealer are before designing your mailer with a window die cut.
