Chemical Reactive Paper
In forgery attempts, a bleach or
solvent is sometimes used to wash the ink from the surface of
the document. The data is then altered in that area on the
document. When the paper contains the chemical reactive features,
it will turn brown, blue or black when bleach or solvents are
used on it. Any attempts to altering the document become easily
detected. Chemical reactive paper would not be a deterrent for
duplicating the document by scanning or copying since this is
not a visible feature. It should be used along with other security
features.

Chemical Void
A message is printed on the paper
in an invisible chemical reactive ink that usually reads "Void"
or "Stop". When an attempt is made to wash off the ink
on a document by using bleach or solvents, the message appears,
making it clear that an attempt is being made to alter the document.
On some security papers, this invisible message is printed in
multiple languages. As with the chemical reactive features, this
feature does not prevent duplication of this form by scanning
or copying.
